Infrastructure Investment:

Extensive streetscape and infrastructure improvements have been made in the Downtown Business District.  A new landmark police station was completed on Main Street in 1999, the same year that a modern multiplex movie theater opened.  A new hotel, the Inn at Middletown, opened in October 2003.  Facade improvements, both private and public, enhance the aspect of Main Street. Period street lighting, wide sidewalks with textured paving, along with the landscaping beautifies the environment.
